Before Your Appointment
Proper preparation will help you endure the tattoo process more comfortably and promote faster healing. Follow these guidelines for the best experience and results:
• Get plenty of rest. We know the excitement can make it tough, but aim for a full night’s sleep before your appointment. Your body will thank you!
• Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Start drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day for at least 72 hours before your session. Well-hydrated skin and a balanced body help with endurance and healing.
• Eat a healthy, balanced meal. Do not arrive on an empty stomach! Eating beforehand helps maintain your energy and prevents lightheadedness.
• Bring drinks and healthy snacks. Keep your energy up during the session with water, electrolyte drinks, fruit, veggies, nuts, or crackers.
Aftercare
Your new tattoo is an investment in yourself. The application process is only the first step—proper care ensures it heals beautifully and lasts a lifetime.
The First 24 Hours
• Keep the bandage on overnight. Removing it too soon may lead to heavy scabbing and improper healing.
• Between 12 and 24 hours, remove the bandage and wash your tattoo.
• Use warm water and mild, unscented soap to create a gentle lather.
• Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a clean paper towel.
• Do not apply lotion yet—let your skin breathe.
• Avoid excessive water exposure (such as long showers).
Days 2 & Beyond
• Wash your tattoo twice daily (morning and night). Use warm water and mild soap, then gently pat dry.
• After 30 minutes, apply a thin layer of unscented lotion.
• Use just enough for your skin to absorb—do not oversaturate.
• Overuse of lotion can clog pores and slow healing.
• Do not touch your tattoo unless washing or applying lotion.
• No scratching, picking, or peeling! Let the healing process happen naturally.
• Your tattoo should be fully healed within 1 to 3 weeks.
Additional Care Tips
• Avoid soaking your tattoo (baths, swimming pools, hot tubs) until fully healed.
• Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight during the healing process. Once healed, apply SPF 50+ to protect it long-term.
• Wear loose clothing over the area to avoid irritation.
• If you suspect an infection, seek medical attention immediately.
Touch-Ups
If you feel a touch-up is needed, please contact the studio within three months of completing your tattoo. Touch-ups are complimentary within one year, unless the need for correction is due to improper aftercare or accidental damage during healing.
